Agree. Before 3po and chewpio, Old Ben was the go-to for CLS. He actually does really good in that squad, and has some synergy with CLS through his Mind Tricks special. I would also get Chewie before C3po. Both are necessary, but Chewie has the biggest impact. The squad kinda works without C3po, but it really does not work without Chewie.That spreads the debuffs.
