Located directly South of Oakley, KS, from I-70 you take US Hwy 83 South for approximately 20 miles. You’ll come across a sign for Monument Rocks and you’ll turn left here onto Jayhawk.This is the drive to Monument Rocks, Kansas, from Dodge City. After, you turn onto Jayhawk (that's what Google Maps calls it, but I suspect that's not right)...Who would have ever imagined beautiful rock formations in the middle of Kansas farm land. The road getting back to the rocks is dirt gravel, so getting a trailer or RV to the rocks is not a recommended. We dropped our trailer at the TA truck stop 45 minutes North. The day we went a storm was moving in.
